I happen to prefer the latter over the former, but even I found this mod cute and creative. I only 4 adult sims in the new game.Simmers who enjoy a very family-oriented style of play (as opposed to the “forever Young Adults living their best lives” style) will probably love this mod. So I haven't changed any clothing on kids. I haven't had any kids since the patch and started up a new game, until they patch the patch. They need to fix the genetics, the march 26 patch just probably brought it out in full force. I even have a couple that I used the fake alien eyes with the male, custom content that was made when the game first came out and they worked. What is strange it didn't happen to all of my sims kids. the 1st look like the male the 2nd look like the female but the skins, eyes, and hair was way off. The kids feature did come out like they should. I had 2 kids used the male to try for baby and the 2nd time use the female to try for baby.

Both had lighter skin tones, black hair, black eyes the babies ended up with the games black/darkest skin tone. Also had a sims couple one have a custom made skin and the other had a game skin.

I also checked while in full edit mode that when they change into another life stage the eyes would change. I even had to put them thru full edit mode a couple of times to stop it. I would do a full edit mode to fix it and found that the eyes were different when I was planing the outfits and switching hair would also cause the problem. After a baby would become a kid, they would end up with eyes not of either parent or hair color. I had this happen before the patch in a way.
